Lighthouse/School

Background/Inspiration: I watched Road to Perdition last night and I'm pretty sure the hallways in this dream were styled a lot like those in some of the hotels in that movie.

On to the dream.

Major events: This all took place in this very large building set somewhere that was pretty desolate on the outside, although that didn't matter much, as we weren't on the outside at all except for going up to a large lighthouse. Why this building had a lighthouse, I don't know. It also had a large dining hall down the hallway, but we didn't go there much because earlier in the dream we had to pay for food there and I didn't like spending money. I think at this point though, it was free because this was some boarding school situation. Sam and Bryce had the most major roles, but neither really did anything special except hang around with me for the majority of the dream. I remember at one point I stripped down to my boxers and started running down the hall as fast as I could because it reminded me of some fictional character named running man. People saw me doing this and didn't think it was weird. I ran to the right of my room in the building and went into some bathroom where I tried to put my contacts in, but they apparently needed to be soaked in saline longer because they were oversized and stiff. I guess that's what contacts did in this dream. Anyway, I was going to run past my room again and run up to the top of the lighthouse, but I met up with some girl on the way there, not someone I know in real life I don't think. So we started walking up to the top of the lighthouse together and when we passed a door that some kid was holding open, I expected her to go through it for some reason, and then she didn't. Then on the way past the dining hall I remember saying I should probably eat there more often because the food was good and I was hungry.

Minor Details: Earlier we had been hassling the guy at the top of the lighthouse comparing his building and lighthouse to my dad's. Also, something before that there was a sort of indoor swamp and Bryce was there. There was a war going on someplace because we were hearing about it on the radio, like in The Chosen.
